Partnership to automate B2B travel payments
Travelsoft Pay partners with Mastercard for secure B2B travel payments
Travelsoft Pay, the Travelsoft Group payments arm launched in 2025, announced a strategic partnership with Mastercard to provide a secure, scalable and travel-native payments infrastructure for the global travel ecosystem.
The agreement draws on the Mastercard Wholesale Program (MWP), which simplifies B2B settlement using on-demand virtual card numbers.
Travelsoft’s platforms support more than 400 customers and process over €50 billion in annual travel bookings, powering mission-critical booking and operational workflows in more than 90 countries.
Built with an API-first, cloud-native and modular approach, the Travelsoft Pay platform aims to automate pay-ins and pay-outs, cut operational complexity, and give travel companies the transparency and control needed to operate at scale.
Natively integrated with Travelsoft systems, it is designed to protect funds, streamline reconciliation and distribute payments seamlessly across borders and currencies.
Using MWP enables instantly generated virtual cards that are more flexible and secure for intermediaries, from the booking basket through to suppliers’ final settlement.
“Having spent 25 years creating technology that connects the global travel ecosystem, we know what our clients need — reliability, transparency, and trust,” said Christian Sabbagh, CEO of Travelsoft Group.
“By combining Mastercard’s world-class technology with Travelsoft Pay’s API-first platform, we are ensuring that every buyer, supplier, and traveler can transact safely, smoothly, and confidently.”
“Travelsoft Pay was born from the daily realities of our clients — the travel intermediaries and suppliers who powerthis industry,” said Mary Cotugno, Managing Director at Travelsoft Pay.
“We are building a cloud-native, modular platform integrated seamlessly with Travelsoft travel systems, using Mastercard’s technology to automate, scale, and modernise how money moves across borders. It’s a platform designed for travel — flexible, intelligent, and built for growth.”
The digitisation of inter-company payments in travel is accelerating, driven by virtual cards, API-based automation and deeper integration with booking and back-office systems.
Within this landscape, MWP streamlines the issuance and use of virtual card numbers for intermediaries and suppliers. With Travelsoft Pay, the French group adds a dedicated financial layer to its portfolio to reduce friction, improve cash-flow predictability and better align the value chain from booking to final settlement.
