Travelsoft Group closes acquistion of flight-fulfillment firm airQuest

Group's move 'significantly' strengthen air technology stack and German presence

Global travel technology group, Travelsoft, has closed its acquisition of proQuest Computersysteme GmbH, the company behind airQuest, a flight fulfillment solution used by major German tour operators and high-volume travel players across Europe. 

The latest acquisition of the group - just two months on from Travolution - sees it extend its end-to-end air distribution stack, from NDC connectivity to ticketing, servicing, and reconciliation.

The group which already has nine platforms in its portfolio, one being Berlin-founded firm traffics, and this addition will see it build out its German presence.

Group-wide, it already powers more than €45 billion in annual bookings and now airQuest, Travelsoft improve its availability across the entire travel value chain. 

The group now offers a comprehensive suite spanning search, booking, NDC connectivity, fare management, ticketing automation, servicing, and financial reconciliation.

Travelsoft have said it will invest in the roadmap while "ensuring full continuity for existing customers" it has said. 

The team of the newly acquired business, led by CEO Ulrich Sambeth, will continue to operate and retain full focus on client service and product innovation.

It will progressively connect to Travelsoft’s platforms - Atcore already being connected, and serving major German Tour Operators.
