Hubby eSIM calls on industry to include connectivity in product offering
Dutch connectivity start-up, Hubby eSIM, is calling on the travel industry to include mobile connectivity as an essential part of its product offering, after it offers free eSIMS to all CON-X 2025 attendees.
By doing so, travel providers not only offer an added perk to their customers but also create valuable opportunities to engage with travellers, ensure a seamless journey, and strengthen customer loyalty.
“Travellers expect connectivity throughout their journey, and travel providers aim to be involved in the trip beyond just the booking,” says Thijs van der Wijk, co-founder and CEO of Hubby eSIM.
“By offering eSIMs as an add-on or part of the travel package, providers not only enable travellers to stay connected with loved ones but also create a direct communication channel.
"This empowers travel providers to ensure a smooth experience, engage in meaningful interactions, and open the door to upselling opportunities while staying closely connected to the traveller’s needs throughout the entire trip.”
This call to action comes after the firm sponsored Con-X 2025, an event organised by Travelgate in Mallorca every year.
20GB of data was given to hundreds of attendees to be able to use while in Spain for the event.
