Virtual ATM to discuss role of technology in shaping the future post COVID-19
Arabian Travel Market is preparing to throw open is virtual doors next month having taken the decision not to hold the exhibition in Dubai this year.
The annual show has announced that the next live event will be held on May 16-19 2021, but an online version will take place this year on June 1-4.
Travolution is supporting the virtual event running a session on how technology can underpin tourism and destination resilience in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis.
The session, which will take place on June 2 will feature speakers from mobile sim provider, iFree, data and analytics specialist Mabrian, chatbot developer Bespoke and travel insurance and risk management firm Ingle International.
Speakers will share stories from on the ground addressing aspects of the crisis and new ways to operate in the future and how these align with privacy and cyber threats.
In a separate session on June 1, Travolution sister brand, the Global Travel and Tourism Resilience Council will look at how the sector rebuilds confidence.
Speakers include former UNWTO secretary general and council co-chair Dr Taleb Rifai, former Jumeirah president Gerald Lawless (Dubai) and Jane Sun, chief executive of Chinese OTA Ctrip.

Main ATM stand holders will be able to set up 30-minute video meetings with registered buyers, and everyone will have full access to attend all live webinars and on demand content including blogs and round-tables.
