Stump to advise HolidayExtras ahead of new website launch
HolidayExtras.com has geared up for the release of a new website later this year by recruiting the support of US web expert Joe Stump.
Stump, co-founder of simpleGEO and the former lead architect at digg.com, will work with the company for a few days each quarter to aid the repositioning of the business as a ‘customer technology’ business.
He will help the company’s technology team solve bigger and more complex data issues around matching thousands of product options to a customer taking a holiday.
“Joe’s background in running high traffic and processor hungry web applications is a great fit for the software and new website,” Holiday Extras said.
Chief executive Matthew Pack said: “We have been following Joe for the last couple of years and are very pleased to be in a position to attract such a talent as his to help us evolve our ambitious strategy.”
Chief marketing technology officer Nila Peiris added: “Joe’s experience, track record and huge following on the web speak for themselves. – I am very pleased to have someone like him in the building on a regular basis.”
Stump said: “This project takes me a long way from my home in San Francisco but I am happy to have travelled all this way to help with something that excites me – and with such an awesome team.”
