Users will find more Booking.com properties in Navan
Navan strengthens its direct link with Booking.com for accommodation
Navan is strengthening its integration with Booking.com via a direct API to expand its inventory of accommodations and enable reserved rates. This partnership should simplify booking and payment for business travelers.
Announced in Palo Alto, the enhanced direct connection between Navan, the unified platform for business travel, payments, and expense management, and Booking.com promises to expand access to accommodations and generate additional savings for companies.
Thanks to a strengthened API integration, users will find more Booking.com properties directly within Navan, including in less-served destinations.
The initiative targets travelers, travel managers, and finance teams alike, promising a smoother and more controlled booking and payment experience.
The connection leverages Booking.com's most advanced API to expose an expanded inventory and preferential pricing.
On the payment side, the integration aims to reduce transaction failures (rejected cards, missing information) to secure booking confirmations.
“This new connection with Booking.com isn’t just about adding rooms to Navan’s already extensive inventory ,” explains Dane Molter, SVP, Navan Group Travel Marketplace. “It’s about delivering more value to every business trip for every company, through discounts and benefits on eligible stays. By connecting directly to Booking.com’s most advanced API, Navan can offer tangible savings and more choice that directly benefits companies’ bottom line—a win-win for everyone.”
This merger comes at a time when travel and expense management platforms are seeking to differentiate themselves through the breadth of their content and the automation of their processes. Direct access to a global inventory, coupled with conditional pricing, can limit out-of-network purchases and strengthen compliance.
For Booking.com, this is an opportunity to increase its penetration in the corporate segment by leveraging its network of hotels and alternative accommodations.
"Thanks to our partnership with Navan, we are expanding the choices available to business travelers by giving them access to our extensive inventory of hotels and work-friendly accommodations," explained Thibaut Leroux, director of commercial partnerships at Booking.com.
"Together, we make it easier to book the right stay, supported by our global reach and competitive rates."
The established technical architecture must also support future developments on Navan related to accommodation content.
The technology company mentions potential product improvements, such as adding a "work-friendly" label for non-hotel accommodations, designed to facilitate the identification of options suitable for business travelers.
