HotelRez named in The Caterer's Top 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality

Hotel representative firm listened to the needs of its team post pandemic

HotelRez, the hotel representative firm, has been announced as one of Travolution's sister publication, The Caterer's Top 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2024.

The company, which is 20-years-old, was named as a receiver of the award in May, 2024.

The award was based on employee feedback and surveys to impartial, third-party companies.

HotelRez came in 29th, with the company listening to the needs of its team post-pandemic and addressing agile working, enhanced holiday and sickness benefits, as well as job security as the top reasons for its place.

The survey found the leaders also took on-board the Newark-based team’s desire to get more involved in the local community and have increased volunteer and community engagement activities.

Lockdown is said to have further highlighted the importance of managers being adaptable and treating people as individuals. 

The team have now been equipped through training and resources to support the physical and mental wellbeing of employees by providing them with clear expectations, yet giving them the space to work how they want.

Korero’s survey pointed to a wholesome company culture, with employee comments including: “The company has enabled me to progress to a level beyond my ambitions and supported me to grow into a senior role while working four days, I really appreciate this.”

Another said: “Mental health and wellness are a high priority, and this shows throughout the close-knit relationships between teams, who go above and beyond to support each other.”

Results from The Caterer survey included 96.5% of employees (vs benchmark of 82%) agreeing the company “cares about its people”, and values and encourages teamwork (93% vs benchmark of 83%).
