A new-look flights website for the UK has been unveiled by shopping comparison company Kelkoo Travel in the second phase of its relaunch.
The move comes four months after the company introduced its hotel pages.
Search functionality covers 130 airlines, making use of a platform initially created for the hotel beta pages launched last September.
The flight offering now includes enhanced user-friendly functions such as ‘merchant grouping’ by incorporating feedback from users of the hotel section of the website.
This means that users are shown just the best offer from each merchant, giving them the option to click to see more deals from individual merchants if they wish.
Search filters have been incorporated to include price, duration, take-off times and airlines.
The flights site will next be released in France and Norway markets, before being introduced on Kelkoo’s other European sites.
Managing director Chris Nixon said: “We’re working to an incredibly tight schedule to complete our travel offering and the launch of our flight pages highlights our ongoing commitment to grow Kelkoo Travel across Europe.
“The next rebuild developments to Kelkoo Travel will see the ‘car hire’ and ‘holiday’ pages of the website go live in the coming months.
“To further boost merchant presence across Europe and ensure we’re offering users as much choice as possible, we have a multi-lingual travel team in place that covers our pan-European market.”
Other developments include the move of Kelkoo’s hotel pages from beta to the actual Kelkoo site in the UK, France and Italy. Hotels beta has been launched in Holland, Sweden and Denmark, whilst Spain and Germany will be unveiled within the coming weeks.
