Sabre has strengthened its position outside the US by completing the $154 million takeover of the Trust Group.

The global central reservation, revenue management and hotel marketing provider serves independent and small-to-medium-sized chain hotels and has a strong presence in Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

Trust Group brands include Trust International, InnLink and Nexus.

The acquisition, first announced in November, enables Sabre Hospitality Solutions to expand the range of hotels it serves by more than 30%, totalling about 32,000 worldwide.

Sabre president and chief executive, Tom Klein, said: “The success of Sabre and Trust is based on our ability to deliver mission-critical technology solutions to help our customers achieve their revenue, operational and guest experience goals.

“Together, we will help transform the hospitality industry through a combined SaaS platform offering the scale, depth and breadth that hoteliers of all sizes need for the future.”
