New Concur Travel integrates SNCF, Lyria, Eurostar and regional trains via Trainline

New global API

SAP Concur will integrate into its new platform, New Concur Travel, the journeys offered via SNCF’s Offer Access Portal (PAO), covering SNCF, Lyria, Eurostar and regional trains.

The integration is enabled by Trainline Partner Solutions, the B2B division of the European rail and coach booking specialist.

Trainline has provided a “Global API” so this rail inventory is directly accessible in SAP Concur’s new tool.

Until now, French and cross-border rail content was available in SAP Concur’s legacy tool through multiple direct, carrier‑specific and fragmented APIs, which were costly and limited in functionality. The new version offers a single connection managed by Trainline.

“Concur’s strategy is to move from multiple country‑by‑country connections to a single connection for all its rail needs,” said Cédric Dufour, European sales director at Trainline Partner Solutions.

“That is what we’re bringing," he added.

These routes join the offers already available on New Concur Travel: Renfe, Iryo, SBB, OBB and RDG.

Users of New Concur Travel can now access the full depth of content, including public and corporate fares, support for carriers’ loyalty cards, and First Class seat selection.

As business travellers increasingly express their preference for rail, despite longer journey times, SAP Concur aims to make rail more competitive, ease compliance with corporate travel policies and accelerate the modal shift to rail.

To do so, the software provider wants to deliver a frictionless experience comparable to consumer apps.

For Trainline, the ambition is to be unavoidable in rail mobility.

“We have the benefit of being experts in both B2C and B2B, which means we can use the strengths we have on each side to be better,” Dufour said.

“Our ambition is to be the best on features and the best on inventory.”
