Online tool expected to be particularly useful for new staff taken on after COVID
New training portal for agents set to be launched by Jet2holidays
Jet2holidays is launching a “one stop shop” training portal for travel agents from April 1.
The tour operator revealed its Jet2holidays Learn at the Hays Travel Independence Group 2022 overseas conference.
The new tool will allow agents to find out more about the operator’s products, including “spotlights” on specific hotels, as well as marketing tips and opportunities.
General manager of trade Lloyd Cross said the new portal could be particularly useful for new starters as travel agencies take on new employees to replace those lost in the pandemic.
He said: “We know lots of agents have new staff coming into the business so it’s the perfect time to get agents trained up.”
Agents currently make up 26% of Jet2holidays’ sales. “The trade is a huge part of the success of Jet2holidays,” he said. “We promote booking through a local travel agent. If you embrace our brand you will get more business.”
