Move comes after $60 million investment from Airbnb in the Dutch firm
Attractions booking specialist Tiqets launches in the UK with special offer
Dutch attractions and museums booking platform Tiqets following a $60 million investment from alternative accommodation giant Airbnb.
The Tiqets app has been downloaded by one million users offering instant and last minute mobile access to over 2,000 venues. Since being founded in 2014 it has sold over 10 million tickets.
UK users are being offer a 10% discount on all tickets bought by January 31 to mark the expansion to the market.
Luuc Elzinga, Tiqets president, said: “It’s our mission to make culture more accessible again by helping people rediscover and enjoy museums and attractions around the globe.
“We have worked with our venue partners closely to utilise time slots and manage visitor capacity so returning to attractions is both safe and orderly.”
Tiqets has launched a flexible ticket option after so many people missed out on travel during 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This means the date on the ticket can be changed. Customers can also purchase a free cancellation option for a small fee, this allows the ticket to be cancelled free of charge.
With any type of booking, if the venue is not open on the day of the booked ticket, a full refund is offered with no questions.
