Coronavirus: launches UK holiday deals search to feed staycation demand

Launch in partnership with Snaptrip allows users to search for offers from domestic specialists

A new UK holiday deals search has been developed by comparison site anticipating a rise in demand for staycations.

The search platform, which has gone live today, features a range of properties and offer from leading domestic specialists.

The launch coincides with the lifting of travel restrictions meaning Brits can travel this summer after the COVID-19 lockdown was imposed from mid-March.

The initial launch is a partnership with lastminute cottage and apartments retailer Snaptrip.

It allows customers to select by destination, duration, group size and then to filter on property type, budget, and amenities such as swimming pools, gardens, hot tubs and pet friendly.

Alongside holiday search, said it will be bringing new offers and deals to their customers – including holiday parks, theme parks, UK tours, camping and glamping.

The UK launch will be headed up by Amy Russell, UK product manager, formerly of Jurys Inn Hotel Group and Superbreak.

A recent customer survey found 78% expect to take a UK break within the next 12 months with cottages the most desirable holiday type cottages followed by city breaks.
