AmaWaterways enhances travel agent experience

The luxury river cruise outfit offers 24/7 booking access

Luxury river cruise company AmaWaterwayshas unveiled several enhancements to its Travel Agent Portal at amawaterways.co.uk, creating round-the-clock booking access to agents along with other benefits.

For the first time, travel agent partners will be able to secure bookings instantly by paying deposits via credit card directly through the portal, allowing agents to confirm staterooms even when the AmaWaterways offices are closed, ensuring a seamless, 24/7 booking experience.

Travel agent partners will continue to have the option to hold a stateroom provisionally for up to seven days before confirming, as well as access to the support of the AmaWaterways River Cruise Consultants who remain on hand to support, advise and assist with booking queries.

Further to this, AmaWaterways has confirmed that their fixed £75 regional airport supplement now applies to all UK airports, excluding the Channel Islands.

According to the team, ‘agents simply need to indicate their clients’ preferred departure airport at the time of booking, and the AmaWaterways team will source suitable flights for a fixed £75pp supplement on top of the London/Manchester featured package price’.

Once a booking is confirmed and the deposit is paid, the Reservations team will contact the agent within 48 hours to confirm flight arrangements. For those preferring full flexibility, agents can also book cruise-only options by removing the flight and transfer package within the booking process.

Deposits made by credit card do not require the final balance to be paid via the same method, ensuring flexibility for both agents and their clients.

Speaking on the enhancement of the Travel Agent Portal, Andrea Stafford Sales Director UK & Europe at AmaWaterways, said: “We’re also delighted to be able to offer even more flexibility with our standardised regional airport supplements, further simplifying the booking process.”
