CitizenPlane acquires revenue management solution Pulse

Tool acquired from Yieldin

CitizenPlane has just announced its acquisition of revenue management solution from French firm YieldIn, which is now known as Pulse.

The firm have said the motivation behind the deal is to bring "powerful" revenue optimisation capabilities directly into its growing suite of airline solutions as Airlines now face one of the "most challenging optimisation problems in commercial aviation" - pricing a perishable asset.

Pulse is "exactly what today's airlines need", according to the firm as it boasts tracking of competitor pricing and market shifts, traceable pricing recommendations, works with any PSS including Amadeus and others and implementation takes weeks, not months.

It's now available as the third module in the CitizenPlane OS, alongside Zenith PSS and Air Distribution.

"Bringing this revenue management expertise in-house was essential to support our air retailing vision, particularly around the development of the Offer module of the airline Operating System," said Hadrien Musitelli, CEO and co-founder of CitizenPlane.

"With Pulse, we can deliver powerful revenue-optimisation capabilities to our clients immediately and also invest heavily in the offer management innovation that will accelerate our longer-term roadmap."
