AK Techotel launches solutions in London

English hotels can now use Picasso Digital's solutions

The firm behind digital cloud-based hotel system, Picasso Digital, AK Techotel has announced its launch of Picasso Digital and digital assistant Mona AI in the UK.

The first hotels in London with Picasso Digital installed went live in June of this year which sees AK Techotel service individual hotels and hotel chains in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Austria and now the UK.

Digital hotel system, Picasso Digital, has virtual robot MONA AI built into its system.

Mona is a virtual assistant or robot that can work with hotel staff, or alone, and perform most functions in the hotel reception and back office.

Mona digitises many functions from prepayment, room allocation, key delivery, mobile check-in and checkout, mobile POS, bills and more.

Klaus Ahrenkilde, CEO of Techotel, said: 'It's great to be able to help digitise the hotel industry and free up more time for servicing guests'.

Alistair Brown, former head of the Irish division of Techotel, will now step into the role of country manager in the UK.

He said: “Having spent 16 years building the Irish department up, the opportunity to return to my roots in the UK was too good an opportunity to turn down.

“The innovations that Techotel is building is certainly leading to exciting times, and I am looking forward to being part of them”.
