British Airways saw a 36% jump in traffic to its website from February to March this year, according to figures released by ComScore.


It is estimated the site attracted around 4.4 million unique users in March, up from 3 million in February.


Easy Group sites also saw a significant increase in traffic over the same period – up by 9% from 2.9 million to 3.3 million.


A table of the top 20 biggest gainers in March across all markets revealed the continued rise of social networking sites.


Leading the group was Tagged.com, up by 226% to 3.5 million, with Facebook (up 38% to 2.8 million) and Six Apart websites (up 30% to 3.5 million) featuring in fourth and seventh positions respectively.


Overall the strongest online brand continues to be Google with 27.3 million unique visitors in March 2007, followed by Microsoft sites (26.8 million) and Ebay (22 million).
