'Seriously nice' US airline Breeze Airways signs data engineering deal with Planitas

The partners will work to make the carrier's decision making on pricing fast and nimble and to react in real time to market trends

Airline analytics specialist Planitas has agreed a data engineering deal with new US lowcost airline Breeze Airways.

The carrier, which promoted itself as ‘seriously nice’, was founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman. 

It operates non-stop services between underserved routes across the US at affordable fares.

The partnership with Planitas will provide “enhanced data engineering” to enable the airline to make pricing decisions related to its product offering.

Lukas Johnson, chief commercial officer at Breeze Airways, said: “The quality data provided by the Planitas ADAPTiv platform will help us in making fast and nimble pricing decisions.  With this partnership, we’ll be able to react to market forces in real time.”

Simon Grennan, chief executive of of Planitas added: “Planitas will use our ADAPTiv platform to manage and deliver enriched ancillary data. 

“By leveraging this data, Planitas will power Breeze’s price decisioning that energises its Seriously Nice flights.”
