Vueling becomes first European airline to be recognised as top employer
Spanish low-cost airline Vueling, part of IAG, has been recognised as a Top Employer in Spain, consolidating its commitment to excellence in the workplace.
This ranking sees Vueling become the first European airline and the first low-cost airline in the world to be recognised by the Top Employers Institute.
This achievement not only "highlights its commitment to its employees, but reaffirms Vueling’s leadership in the aviation industry", joining 2,300 Top Employers in 121 countries across five continents.
This commendation is based on Vueling’s results in the Top Employers Institute’s HR Best Practices Survey, which covers 20 different topics within six areas of HR.
Within this framework, Vueling is said to have stood out for its work carried out in business strategy, purpose, values, ethics and integrity, organisation and change, talent, development and performance, leadership, digital HR and work environment.
“This recognition is testimony to our tireless efforts to create an exceptional working environment," said Fernando Cuadra, chief people officer of Vueling.
"At Vueling, we don’t just fly – we do so with a deep commitment to both our people and our planet."
David Plink, CEO of Top Employers Institute, said: “By adapting to this year’s challenges, Vueling has demonstrated a continued commitment to implementing excellent working practices.
"We are pleased to celebrate and applaud Vueling for being certified as a Top Employer in Spain this year”.
