Smith is appointed as the new managing director for Reed & Mackay in France as the company "doubles down on growth for the region"
Reed & Mackay promote Johann Smith to managing director for France
Reed & Mackay, a Navan company, has promoted Johann Smith to Managing Director for France.
Smith was previously the finance and administration director for Reed & Mackay in France (formerly Frequent Flyer Travel Paris) for seven years.
He will now be focused on “maintaining the elevated service for which Reed & Mackay is known” for, while also growing the business to meet the demand for a tailor-made service in the French market.
Smith will report into Julie Oliver, Reed & Mackay’s chief executive office for Europe.
"Delivering true local expertise and content, while also providing a global footprint to support the needs of our international client base is key.
“Having been a member of our French leadership team for seven years, Johann provides fantastic continuity for the business, while partnering with our global teams to support the next phase of growth,” said Oliver.
This latest news follows the acquisition of Atlanta Travel in Spain, the announcement that Sweden-based Resia will rebrand as Reed & Mackay later this year, and the appointment of Christoph Zilt as MD for Germany, as the global corporate travel and events company doubles down on growth for the region.
Reed & Mackay has maintained “exceptionally high service standards” following the rebrand from Frequent Flyer Travel Paris in 2021, with a survey of Reed & Mackay’s client base in France from May 2023 returning an overall client satisfaction rating of 95.47% for the business.
Smith said: "We are very proud of these results. Our two primary areas of focus are service quality and technological innovation.
“By staying true to our service DNA we are able to take clients on a global journey, and this growth in turn creates fantastic opportunities for our employees."
"France is a priority market for the Navan Group. We are relentlessly focused on providing an exceptional experience for our customers, whether through the leading self-serve travel and expense platform of Navan or through Reed & Mackay’s high touch offering,” said Olivier Nairey, general manager France of Navan.
