Hubby eSIM adds Kasper Rasmussen as Chief Commercial Officer to scale connected travel

Amsterdam-based B2B eSIM provider, Hubby eSIM, has appointed Kasper Rasmussen as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), adding to its leadership team as the company enters its next phase of international growth.

Rasmussen joins Hubby eSIM from bringing more than two decades of experience across the global travel and technology sectors.

Said to have a strong track record in scaling high-growth startups to reach their full potential and building complex commercial partnerships, he was previously chief sales officer at AirHelp for almost a decade.

The appointment follows a year of strong momentum for Hubby eSIM. In 2025, the company grew its travel brand partnerships significantly, signing major industry names like DERTour and Flight Centre. Having firmly established its position in the market, Hubby eSIM is now focused on executing at scale.

Rasmussen said: “What attracted me to Hubby eSIM is the Vision and the strong team. Hubby eSIM is not trying to be just another connectivity brand; it enables travel companies to stay relevant and connected with travellers throughout the journey.

At the same time, there’s a strong team spirit in the company with top professionals who have vast experience in the travel industry and startups. Hubby eSIM is in pole position to become the market leader for eSIM in travel, and one I’m excited to be onboard.”

“Connectivity is key. If travellers aren’t online during their trip, most of the travel apps on the market don’t work. Hubby understands that but goes further by helping travel brands turn connectivity into engagement.

Thijs van der Wijk, CEO and co-founder, said the appointment reflects Hubby eSIM’s ambitions for the year ahead.

He added: "In 2024, we put Hubby eSIM on the map. In 2025, we proved that our model works globally, across partners and markets.

"2026 is about taking it to another level - shipping new products for our existing partners and creating meaningful impact for the millions of travellers who rely on us to stay connected during their trips.

"Kasper brings the experience and leadership we need to do that with focus, ambition and care for the industry we serve.”

The focus for the brand now shifts from just growth but to "depth, deeper partnerships, and stronger products".

With Rasmussen joining the leadership team, said it is "doubling down" on its mission to make connectivity a natural, trusted part of every journey, helping travel brands deliver better experiences and travellers explore the world with confidence.
