Brett Burgess appointed CEO of ATPCO

'Retailing and operations, two sides of the same coin'

ATPCO, a specialist in airline pricing and distribution data, has announced the appointment of Brett Burgess as its new CEO.

A former Sabre executive, Burgess will lead the company from Denver, his previous experience will inform his roadmap that he will implement at ATPCO.

The news comes just days after his departure from Jeppesen ForeFlight (formerly a Boeing company), where he led a global business line with full responsibility for results and operations, demonstrating, as ATPCO notes, sustained growth performance.

This handover is strategic, according to the air distribution specialist.

The board of directors affirms its confidence in the successor's ability to lead the next stage of development, relying on extensive experience in air distribution, enterprise software, and critical aviation technologies.

“Brett is the right leader at the right time to move ATPCO forward ,” said Karen Slinger, chair of ATPCO’s Board of Directors.

“He brings a rare combination of innovation-driven leadership, operational acumen, and deep industry expertise. He understands that creating value for airlines and travelers requires balancing innovation, operational confidence, and reliability.”

The stated priorities focus on modernizing airline retailing. Burgess said he has witnessed firsthand the complexity of coordinating pricing data and standards across hundreds of airlines.

According to him, “The true value an airline brings to travelers goes beyond pricing and revenue management. It’s the promise to get passengers safely and efficiently at a price they consider fair. Retailing and operations are two sides of the same coin, and real progress comes from maintaining a balance between the two.”

This vision, at the intersection of data, technology, and industry governance, shapes his approach to ATPCO’s transformation.

In a market undergoing transition, where companies are accelerating their distribution and customer experience projects, ATPCO's role remains central.

The arrival of a leader who understands both sales and operational challenges promises greater clarity for distribution stakeholders, as well as improved continuity between commercial offerings and operational execution.
