Peakwork claims record bookings months in 'hot' holidays market post-pandemic

The German travel tech firm reports extraordinary demand trends in the period March to June

German travel distribution hub Peakwork has recorded the highest volumes of bookings in its 13-year history.

The firm said the period between March and June saw its highest-ever turnover figures for brokered bookings since it was established in 2009.

Peakwork works with a vast array of Europe’s biggest travel firms, OTAs and airlines including Lufthansa, Tui, Hotelplan, Get Your Guide, Kiwi.com, and HolidayCheck.

Its Player Hub technology is a powerful cache that allows firms to dynamically package holidays from multiple suppliers and optimise distribution to increase revenue.

The firm said the record period for booking underlines the strength of the bounce back in demand following the COVID-19 slump.

Peakwork claims to have more travel firms using its technology that is giving OTAs a competitive advantage through improved rankings and bookings in a high-demand market.

Ralf Usbeck, chief executive of Peakwork, said current demand trends are extraordinary: "Peakwork recorded the highest bookings in the company's history. Especially after the pandemic, we are particularly pleased with the excellent booking performance with our partners."
