Accelya appoints former IBM vice president as first chief revenue officer
Travel technology solutions provider Accelya has appointed Andrew Wilcock to the newly created role of Chief Revenue Officer.
Based in the UK and a member of the firm’s executive committee Wilcock will drive the company’s New Distribution Capability’s One Order and plans for delivering NDC 2.0.
The creation of the role sees him take responsibility for all “go-to-market” functions as the company "continues to drive value and innovation for its clients", Accelya said.
Wilcock joins Accelya from IBM where over two decades he held a series of senior leadership positions, most recently as vice president, ecosystems, UK and Ireland.
He said: “As the aviation sector bounces back rapidly I can’t think of a more exciting industry to join and within that a more innovative company than Accelya.
“Building on our heritage as a leading global tech provider, we now also seek to define NDC’s One Order and the route to NDC 2.0. I’m committed to driving further trust and relevance for our partners through innovation and co-creation.”
José María Hurtado, acting chief executive of Accelya, added: “Andrew’s unrivalled background at IBM – the world’s original and most innovative tech company – will be invaluable to our partners,” added
“This appointment forms part of Accelya’s commitment to becoming the employer of choice in the air transport industry, and our focus on talent to promote the transformation of the industry for the better.”
