Trade-focused taxi and airport booking solutions firm Cabforce is being made available via the Travelport Marketplace e-commerce platform.
The move follows claimed growth this year of 200% based on travel agency adoption in the UK and South Africa alone.
Finnish company Cabforce expects growth to continue once the plug-in is available worldwide, following the commercial launch of Travelport Marketplace this month.
Travelport Marketplace provides agents with access to a range of products covering all aspects of agency operations, helping to improve productivity, allow for additional services and create new revenue streams.
Travelport Developer Network members can make use of a software development kit and Travelport’s Universal API (application programming interface) to build new services and then promote them to agencies through the Marketplace.
Andreas Hansson, chief executive of Cabforce said: “Cabforce gives travel agencies a simple, efficient, and best-of-class user experience to book taxis seamlessly integrated into the agent’s normal workflow.
“Thanks to the opportunities provided by the Travelport Developer’s Network, Cabforce is poised to build on our growth in early markets and increase our presence amongst travel agencies in European markets through Travelport Marketplace.”
The technology company’s UK & Ireland managing director, Simon Ferguson, said: “Working with Cabforce is a great example of Travelport’s belief that one size does not fit all.
“We partner with innovative partners like Cabforce to ensure we can offer our agency customers the solutions they need to be profitable and efficient.”
