Directline Holidays is to develop and enrich the content on its website, sister sites and social media channels under the leadership of new head of content Gareth Scurlock.
The former Times Online editor and deputy online travel editor, is bringing 14 years of experience to the online travel company.
Scurlock worked for new media agency Digital Jigsaw last year, writing a mobile app travel guide for Havana Club Rum. He worked as a content manager at SapientNitro earlier this year, producing the weekly email sent to BSkyB subscribers.
Directline Holidays chief executive Maria Whiteman said: “We are very pleased to welcome Gareth. His wealth of experience in creating great quality and shareable content will be invaluable to our business.”
