Point A Hotels has partnered with Onyx CenterSource in a move to help speed up how travel agencies receive commission payments.

The hotel group, which distributes through HotelREZ’s global distribution system (GDS), will use Onyx product CommPay.

CommPay allows hotels to verify, authorise, and track commission payments from their online portal – which Onyx says reduces the manual work required.

Daniel Simmons, chief commercial officer at HotelREZ said: “We’ve seen notable improvements in commission payments from hotel customers who utilise CommPay. Aside from a boost in travel agency satisfaction, CommPay allows UK-based hotels to pay commission in GBP. The system automatically converts payment into the travel booker’s local currency, which is a tremendous advantage for both parties.”

Mark Dubrow, chief executive officer and president, Onyx CenterSource said: “We’re thrilled to extend this service to HotelRez customers, including Point A Hotels. Travel Agency relationships are of utmost value to a hotel, and CommPay is a critical, cost-effective tool to help strengthen these relationships.”
