Experts from Collinson, Vitruvian Partners, Amadeus, Fox Williams, SeedLegals and Publicis Sapient will join founders and entrepreneurs at the half-day conference on October 19 hosted by News UK

The speaker line-up for the 2022 Travolution Start-Up Summit has been finalised with an array of founders, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders lined up to appear.

The half-day conference, the first held face-to-face since before the Covid pandemic, will be hosted at the offices of The Sun and The Times parent News UK in London.

For the first time, Travolution has invited the finalists in the Start-Up Of The Year to pitch live to a panel of judges at the event and they will decide who picks up this year’s accolade.

A total of 12 start-ups that entered the award will pitch hoping to impress the judges with their vision, passion and achievements to date on establishing their firms.

The confirmed 12 are:

Sessions will feature founders of other early-stage travel companies talking about their experiences and the lessons they have learned in starting a company from scratch.

A panel will feature founders from inspiration booking app LuckyTrip, Italian group travel specialist WeRoad, corporate accommodation platform AltoVita and blockchain agent Pinktada.

The event will also hear from Ben Stephenson, one of the co-founders and the chief executive of UK-based next generation API hospitality distribution marketplace Impala

A second panel, comprised of industry experts, will provide their expertise and insights into what it takes to establish a successful travel start-up that has the potential to scale.

Charles Hardwick, principal at private equity investor Vitruvian Partners, Anthony Rose, founder and chief executive of funding round platform SeedLegals and Kolvin Stone, partner at travel specialist law firm Fox Williams will provide essential advice.

The Summit will kick off with the launch of the 2022 Travolution Innovation Report which contains our latest exclusive analysis of technology spend by UK travel firms and thought leadership and profiles of innovators in travel. Collinson, Amadeus and Publicis Sapient will speak in this session.

Lee Hayhurst, Travolution executive editor, said: “The Start-Up Summit has always been an incredibly exciting and positive event, so we’re really looking forward to bringing it back as an in-person event.

“It’s never been more important for the travel industry to not only be inspired by the entrepreneurs who will shape the future of the sector but to think about how to partner with those who are innovating.”

Delegates places are strictly limited at the Summit but if you would like to come you can register now.
