Travel content aggregator Travelfusion is launching a hotel API solution which gives live availability.
The Hotel API provides a single platform so agents can compare and book with more than 30 consolidators.
Replicating Travelfusion’s flight and rail products, the Hotel API has been developed to integrate hotel consolidators and hotels.
The platform promises to offer travel agencies fast efficient online booking tools to manage all their accommodation needs. It also allows agents to book special offers and multiple rates.
The hotel API allows sites to offer mobile-commerce solutions to their customers.
Bookings are managed directly with the supplier, taking away the potential hassle of credit card payments from the booking process, said the company.
Managing director Moshe Rafiah said: “Travel agencies now have a range of new cost effective and efficient options for booking which is likely to accelerate the recent trend to rely less on the GDS’ for booking.”
