TripActions launches wellbeing dashboard to support business travellers

Digital platform allows corporate to monitor staff physical and mental health

Travel and expense management platform TripActions has launched a service that can support the physical and mental wellbeing of business travellers.

The Traveller Well-Being Dashboard can help managers and agents track a traveller’s nights and weekends away; flight duration; ‘red-eye’ overnight flights; the number of connections; and layover length.

These figures aim to gauge traveller wellbeing and support decisions about policies, staffing and time off.

The US firm said booking volumes have “surged” as the post-pandemic industry recovers, with the average customer booking 2.25 flights in the last three months – one-and-a-half times more than during the same period in 2021.

They are spending 51% more time in the air, with 8% of flights involving ‘red-eye’ overnight travel.

Furthermore, with many staff now working from home, the average number of travellers per company per month has increased by 57% compared to pre-pandemic levels.

“The sprint to get back on the road and the shift to new hybrid work means there may be fewer hours in the office, but more time face-to-face with dispersed teams, customers and suppliers – and with more time spent on the road, the greater the impact to employee well-being,” said TripActions.

The Traveller Well-Being Dashboard is one of several dashboards that give travel managers instant access to real-time data to better track spending, programme performance, and CO2 emissions.
