Hotels.com loyalty programme hits a million free nights
More than one million free nights have been redeemed under Hotels.com Welcome Rewards customer loyalty programme.
The milestone was reached five years after the scheme was originally introduced.
Users earn points for stays and can earn a free night for every 10 bookings. The maximum value of the free night is the average daily rate of the ten nights stayed.
Welcome Rewards was launched in the US and Latin America in 2008, followed by the UK, Canada and Australia in 2010 and extended to all other Hotels.com sites worldwide in 2011.
Chief marketing officer Nigel Pocklington said: “A million nights is quite a landmark.
“When we launched Welcome Rewards, we were determined to make it attractive, generous and easy-to-use for consumers. The fact that so many of our worldwide customers have reaped the rewards of their membership shows that we achieved our aim.”
