TripWorks raises Series A funding for Tours and Activities operations

Company raised over £4 million to better assist operators

TripWorks, the AI- and business intelligence-driven booking and automation platform for tours, activities, and attractions operators, has closed its Series A funding round led by Spring Mountain Capital.

The injection of capital, which $6 (£4.35) million in funding raised, will enable TripWorks to expand its AI and business intelligence (BI) capabilities.

It hopes to grow its product, engineering and customer success teams off the back of it while it also expands into new markets.

“This investment fast-tracks our mission to redefine what’s possible for experienced operators through AI, business intelligence, and automation,” said Aaron Fessler, TripWorks Founder and CEO.

"That is the future we’ve long envisioned at TripWorks, and, with this funding, we’re pushing that future into the present.”

"This is a pivotal moment not just for TripWorks, but for the industry,” added Fessler.

“AI is no longer optional. We’re building systems that will be essential infrastructure for operators, and TripWorks is committed to leading the industry into this new era.”

Industry data shows that roughly half of operators are dissatisfied with their current booking platforms, and 20% see upgrading as a top priority, while 94% of operators who use it report positive results.

“TripWorks is at the forefront of innovation, applying practical AI to the moments that actually move the needle for large operators,” said Gary Millin, president of World Media Groups.

Greg Ho, president of Spring Mountain Capital, added: "With TripWorks, we see a platform that combines strong operator DNA with forward-looking technology.

“The company is well positioned to be a category leader as AI and BI become core infrastructure for experience-based businesses.”
