As part of Travolution’s tenth birthday celebrations this year, we are holding a special travel start-ups half-day summit next month.

The event is sponsored by Travelport and Cheapflights, two partners of the Travo@10 campaign that will see a series of special events held throughout 2016.

It will take place on April 26 and hosted at The Sun and The Times parent News UK’s central London headquarters.

Also supporting the event is the Traveltech Lab, the start-up incubator established by The Trampery and London & Partners, the London mayor’s promotional company.

Speakers confirmed include Cheapflights parent Momondo Group chief executive Hugo Burge who is also a founder of investor HOWZAT.

From Travelport, UK and Ireland managing director Simon Ferguson, the founder and first publishing director of Travolution, will speak about the firms’ Labs incubator.

The founder of three start-ups will also speak including John Readman who once pitched his cyclist tour specialist Ride25 to potential investors on BBC2’s Dragons Den.

We’ll also hear from Make It Social’s Eddie Robb and Much Better Adventure’s Sam Bruce along with investors Stewart Baird, of Stone Ventures and Simon Robinson of YOLO.

Registrations for the free of charge event are open now.

Lee Hayhurst, Travolution editor, said: “Judging by the early response we’ve had already to this summit the travel start-up scene in the UK is certainly of huge interest.

“I’m delighted Travolution is continuing to bring its readers insight and events they value ten years after being established as part of the UK’s leading travel trade publisher.

“If you’d like to come along, register today as spaces will be strictly limited. A big thanks to our sponsors, partner and host for what should be a fascinating morning.”
