A 500% rise in revenue is being claimed by SixStarCruises.co.uk to make it the largest seller of ultra-luxury cruise holidays in the UK.

The World Travel Holdings brand has reported significant growth over the last three years, with the last 12 months also seeing investment in recruitment and training for its team of luxury cruise concierges.

Cole said: “Our average booking value is more than £8,000 – which shows that the top end of cruising is booming and exceptional customer service is absolutely key to ensuring this trend continues.”

He added: “We have experienced this success by educating our customer about the many benefits that an ultra-luxury cruise has to offer, particularly from an all-inclusive perspective, meaning that there’s often no bill to pay at the end and cruisers can enjoy smaller ships offering a more personalised service and outstanding facilities.

“Our focus on outstanding customer service through our highly skilled team of cruise concierges means we have been able to effectively convert customers that may have originally thought ultra-luxury was out of their reach. As a result, many come back to us to book again and again after they have seen first-hand what a luxury cruise holiday has to offer.”

Cole also credits the growth to a number of exclusive itineraries secured with partners such as Rocky Mountaineer, as well as the incorporation of events such as the Monaco Grand Prix and The Ashes Series.

He added: “Ultra-luxury is a thriving sector with customers voting with their feet as our figures and industry research demonstrates.

“Aside from the ever popular Mediterranean and Caribbean itineraries, we’ve seen a significant proportion of business to the Baltics and Black Sea destinations in addition to emerging locations such as Burma, the African Coast and South Pacific.

“As we know, luxury cruisers are all about experience and destination so these trends show a continued passion and demand for new and unique travel experiences.”
