Nyhavn Rejser was built and delivered remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic
Inspiretec completes new tailormade brand project for Danish travel giant Aller Leisure
British travel technology developer Inspiretec has partnered with Danish travel giant Aller Leisure on the launch of its new brand Nyhavn Rejser.
The Cardiff-based firm was chosen to supply its reservations and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms for the new tailormade luxury specialist.
Part of leading Scandinavian publishing group Aller Holdings, Aller Leisure is one of the largest travel groups in Denmark.
The group delivers over €160M in revenues through established brands like Nilles, Kultur, Gislev, Stjernegaard and Nyhavn Rejser.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic both teams switched part way through the programme to an entirely remote delivery model.
From mid-March, the entire implementation including service set-up, requirements workshops, training, consultancy and set-up support was delivered remotely.
Michael Aller, Nyhavn Rejser agency manager, said: “Undertaking a business transformation project like this is a big undertaking and we wanted to find a supplier who had both the products and the service delivery capability to help us get the most from our investment.
“We found that Inspiretec really bought in to our strategy and approached the inevitable challenges along the way enthusiastically and pragmatically.
“It’s a tough time for all of our industry yet we wanted to try and use this time of uncertainty to define our future potential.
“Working with Inspiretec to implement their products has given us solid building blocks that we can use to drive forward our strategic objectives of improved customer experience and increased efficiency.”
The project saw Inspiretec work closely with the Nyhavn team to harness platform integration options native to the firm’s stack.
Beyond an Integration to the Aller Group data warehouse, the project included integrations to the Aller Microsoft Dynamics NAV Finance back office, the consumer mobile app and documentation partner.
The new Nyhavn Rejser brand has been established to manage the whole customer experience from initial touch point, to enquiry through to itinerary shaping, quotation and the booking.
The operator wanted to use tools that support a customer focused vision whilst also leveraging technology to drive internal efficiency improvements, said Inspiretec.
As well as out-of-the-box supplier integrations for flights, accommodation, transfers and ancillary providers, Inspiretec is poised to launch a new cruise module in its lead management and sales interface.
Richard Baker, Inspiretec chief commercial officer, said: “We’re delighted that Aller Leisure selected us as their travel technology partner for the Nyhavn brand.
“Working with a like-minded forward-thinking team has allowed us to focus on delivering quick business benefit to help Nyhavn navigate the current uncertainty so they can leverage our technology to emerge stronger and better”
