The new partnership means Avios customers can benefit from the ferry search and comparison software using advanced technology pioneered by Direct Ferries.

The company’s sales and marketing director, Andrew Crowe, said: “We are very excited about our joint venture with Avios, which has over 5.5 million people collecting Avios points worldwide.

“We are delighted to be supporting the company’s ferry booking service with our technology.

“What’s more, we are able to facilitate access to 93 ferry operators worldwide, meaning Avios will be giving their customers the optimum choice when booking ferry travel.

“We are confident that the partnership will be beneficial to both Direct Ferries and Avios, but more importantly, to the customers.”
