Travel and cruise technology specialist Traveltek has announced its latest partnership with Tres Technologies, a two-way connection between the two firms.
This announcement follows the news of Sabre Corporation deciding to retire its own cruise technology.
Traveltek will have the opportunity to cater to Sabre’s expansive customer base from November 1, 2023.
It has since unveiled its Connect product suite, Agent Connect, a travel agent booking system and its new API, Cruise Connect.
Both are said to “represent the pinnacle of modern-day cloud technology”, with “lightning” speed, accuracy, user-friendly interfaces, and immersive content.
The partnership between Traveltek and Tres Technologies will enable agents to book cruises within the AgentConnect booking tool and manage the booking within Trams, the back-office tool of Tres Technologies using its Live Connect technology.
"We are thrilled to kickstart our collaboration with Tres Technologies," said Rebecca Esterhuizen, senior vice president North America of Traveltek.
"This partnership reinforces our commitment to providing a top-tier cruise solution to travel agencies, especially during this exciting phase of rapid growth in the cruise market.
“Our primary aim remains to uncomplicate the intricate realm of cruise travel."
Teresa Giacalone, director of sales and marketing, said: “We are happy to be working with Traveltek with our Live or Direct Connect technology.
“Agents want the automation and quality data capture that integrated technology can provide”.
The firms are “eager to embark on this joint journey”, while Traveltek strives to “reshape the landscape of cruise technology”.
