SIHOT modernises API with REST-based SIHOT@360º

Modernised interface brings authentication and greater security

Hotel management system provider, SIHOT, has upgraded its SIHOT@360º API by incorporating new REST (Representational State Transfer) interface infrastructure.

The provision of REST technology provides an opportunity for building interfaces between SIHOT and its partner network.

It will streamline API development and integration processes, while providing greater flexibility and more security in how connections are authenticated.

A major enhancement includes the embedded Token Service, which now supports multiple Identity Providers such as Microsoft Entra ID and Amazon Cognito, in addition to the built-in provider.

Developers can authenticate through the service and be uniquely identified for all actions within the interface. This move improves on data integrity, traceability, and system security.

The REST upgrade also supports more granular control and integration capabilities.

Carsten Wernet, chief executive of SIHOT, said: “Our REST-based SIHOT@360º API is a big step towards simplifying the development process and ensuring greater flexibility for our technology partners.

"By delivering modern, secure, and developer-friendly tools, we’re expanding the opportunities of harnessing a wide range of tools for hospitality management, operations and service - helping hoteliers and integration partners achieve faster time to market and stronger connectivity.”
