Tourism Innovation Summit showcases new horizons for tourism tech

The third annual trade show and conference will open its doors to thousands of industry professionals in Seville on November 2

Thousands of travel professionals are expected in Seville next week for the third annual Tourism Innovation Summit.

The event, which was founded in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, will focus on innovation, recovery of travellers confidence, digitisation and inclusivity under the tagline New Horizons for Tourism Tech.

It will also place an emphasis on the way that the travel sector is responding to the challenges of sustainability and reducing its environmental footprint.

Technology topics set to be discussed over the three-day Tourism Innovation Global Summit taking place alongside the TIS trade show include: 

  • Artificial Intelligence;
  • Bid Data and Analytics;
  • Marketing Automation;
  • Cloud Computing;
  • Contactless Technology;
  • Predictive Analytics;
  • Cybersecurity.

Experts from the likes of Accenture, Amadeus, CaixaBank, Mabrian, Mastercard, Hotelplanner, Booking.com and Alibaba will speak during the event among many others.

Silvia Aviles, event director, said: “During three days, tourism industry professionals will be able to learn first-hand about the most innovative solutions and technologies to transform their businesses or destinations, or sustainable solutions that respond to the new interests of travellers based on climate awareness.”

In total 400 experts will discuss the most disruptive technologies that will be deployed in travel and tourism to boost competitiveness and exploit new business opportunities.
