A Destination Greenwich Apple iPhone app has been introduced to mark the official two year countdown to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
As well as 2012 games news, the app provides details of where to go and what to see in Greenwich. Users can find out which Olympic and Paralympic sporting events are happening and where and check out the schedule of events.
An icon on the app allows users to select places of interest to visit by choosing their current location and finding the nearest attraction or by using a map.
Once selected, users can tap on an audio button and listen as local actor Nick Day provides commentary into Greenwich’s history. The app is available to download for free from the Apple Store.
