Journey Further wins Wexas pitch as luxury specialist makes marketing strategy switch
Digital agency Journey Further has won the Wexas Travel paid search account following a competitive pitch process.
The account covers PPC strategy and management for Wexas brands Wexas Travel, The Luxury Holiday Company, The Luxury Cruise Company and Best Served Scandinavia.
Family-owned Wexas Travel was established by current chairman Dr Ian Wilson in 1970.
Over the past four-and-a-half decades it has grown from a small, independent operator to one of the UK’s leading luxury tailor-made travel companies.
Wexas said it is looking to push forward its paid activity and tighten up efficiencies by moving from an in-house solution to a specialist performance marketing agency.
Journey Further said it will implement a paid search strategy to improve ROI “by taking a data-led approach to increase both the quantity and quality of enquiries Wexas receives”.
Ronan Gay, head of digital at Wexas Travel said: “Moving to a specialist performance marketing agency is a key part of our strategy as we continue to grow our business.
“Journey Further’s obvious expertise in the paid search market, knowledge of travel, their transparent approach and the direct relationships they offer with their analysts stood out for us.
“We are looking forward to a successful partnership with Journey Further.”
Dan Peden, strategy director at Journey Further added: “Wexas are a great fit for us as they genuinely believe in our clarity at speed approach, with direct access to senior analysts being a key part of that.
“The team will be focussing on leveraging our channel expertise and travel sector knowledge to drive unprecedented performance for the Wexas brands.”
Journey Further also works with the likes of De Vere, Wendy Wu and Attraction Tickets Direct.
It recently launched its conversion optimisation team headed by CRO pioneer Jonny Longden, formerly head of ecommerce, digital and analytics at Principal Hotel Company.
