Travelport has appointed Marcin Pilarski to the position of managing director of Eastern Europe. In his new role, Pilarski will be responsible for Russia – Europe’s fastest growing travel market.
The promotion takes effect immediately and is a step up for Pilarski who was previously manager for Poland and the Baltic Countries.
“Marcin has already made a significant contribution during the two years he has been running our distribution business in Poland and the Baltic countries and has successfully established Travelport as a key GDS player in the North Eastern Europe region,” said Jason Clarke, managing director, Travelport Europe and Brazil.
“With his extensive knowledge of the GDS sector combined with his highly customer-centric approach, I am confident he will continue to take our business from strength to strength in his expanded role.”
