Multicom launches enhancement to FindandBook

A next generation web enhancement has been introduced to the FindandBook (FAB) system by travel software specialist Multicom.

Fabrix is described as a powerful new website framework integrated with FAB. It utilises FAB service to search and book flights and accommodation and incorporates a content management system that allows companies to take full control of their web selling systems, according to the company.

The launch of Fabrix will make it simpler and faster to build a bespoke leisure travel web presence, with the option of training for in-house administration control or support from Multicom.

The new system is providing the platform for Advantage Travel Gateway which was launched by Advantage Travel Centres in May, collating pricing and content from preferred suppliers into one central system, allowing members to search and book via a new, browser-based booking engine.

Advantage leisure director Julia Lo Bue-Said said: “Advantage Travel Gateway gives us a single point of access to such a breadth of product it will speed up the selling process for members saving them time and making them more money.

“Members will have the ability to search and book single components, dynamically packaged content as well as third party tour operator holidays.”

The system is designed to support online travel agency requirements such as accommodation-only, air, car hire, transfers, and can blend dynamic and traditional package results.

Agents will also be able to book flight ancillaries such as meals and speedy boarding, while cruise, trains and events will be added.

Multicom will be demonstrating Fabrix at World Travel Market in London next month.

Multicom managing director John Howell said: “Fabrix is a natural extension of our FindandBook system which will allow users to develop their own bespoke online booking systems while minimising marketing and development costs.

“It complements our core business and the availability of Fabrix provides an opportunity to open up new markets for FAB and our sales and distribution network.”
