Mews and Uber partner to bring ride-hailing into hotel systems

Uber rides billed through Mews Payments

Mews, the hospitality technology specialist, has announced, ahead of its Unfold event in Amsterdam, a partnership with Uber. Under the collaboration, properties will be able to offer guests ride-hailing trips and have the transaction recorded within the Mews platform.

Hotel teams will be able to book an Uber on behalf of guests, track vehicles and confirm journeys via the hotel's internal communications tools, with billing integrated into Mews Payments.

More visibility and less friction

Mews notes that ride requests rank among the most common hotel guest queries, with a 2026 study estimating that an average of $50 is spent per guest on transport. Those sums have, until now, largely sat outside hotel operations. The partners say the tie-up responds to demand for fewer touchpoints and lower-friction stays, while giving hoteliers a chance to monetise a service they already facilitate.

"Hotels put enormous effort into the guest experience within their four walls," said Christophe Peymirat, Sr. Director, GM, Uber for Business EMEA. "The journey to and from the property is just as much a part of that experience. Connecting Uber's network directly into the Mews platform is a practical step toward giving hotels visibility and control over something they have been managing manually for decades."

The two companies said the integration is still in development, with a pilot due to launch this year.
