HiJiffy clinches €3.8M to be UK lead and DACH expansion

The funding will be used to bolster their presence in the UK market as well as new hires

Conversational Artificial Intelligence specialist for hotels, HiJiffy, has raised €3.8M in funding.

The funding round, led by Caixa Capital, takes the total investment raised by the company to €6.2 million.

Caixa Capital was joined by Lince Capital, as well as Portugal Ventures, which had already invested in HiJiffy back in 2020.

The successful funding round will enable HiJiffy to expand its team from 30 to over 50 employees while it hopes to enhance and strengthen its presence in the UK.

HiJiffy aims to reinforce its investment in the British markets with the goal of becoming the “main local reference for the digitisation and automation of hotels’ interactions with their guests”.

“The steep growth of HiJiffy in the UK, where we have been actively present since 2021, working with names like Macdonald Hotels & Resorts or Exclusive, reinforces our confidence to continue expanding our local structures and developing specific solutions for British hoteliers,” said Tiago Araújo, CEO of HiJiffy.

He added: “In the coming months, we will enhance our efforts to assure market leadership.”

Capital will also be spent on expanding into the DACH region and a product launch that promises to “revolutionise the way hotels interact with their guests”.
