Holiday deals publisher Travelzoo is claiming traffic to its website has doubled since a significant overhaul of its product in May this year.
ComScore Media Metrix figures released by the company show an increase of 600,000 unique users to 1.25 million from April to May 2007.
The deals publisher has come under pressure in the last 12 months by other travel providers launching “top deals” emails, the bedrock of the Travelzoo model.
Europe managing director Chris Loughlin said page views had also increased by 66% between April and May.
The number of UK subscribers to the weekly Top 20 bulletin tops 700,000. Europe-wide figures will be released shortly, Loughlin said.
The most recent update of Travelzoo has seen regional channels for “last-minute” products added and sections for cruise, car hire and travel insurance.
Other features include the addition of a travel search facility, SuperSearch, and the integration of its regional Newsflash service into the main site.
