Hotelbeds to host second MarketHub Asia event in Bali

October event with ‘Shifting Futures’ theme to attract 300 partners

Leading bedbank Hotelbeds has announced Bali as its host destination for its second MarketHub Asia event.

The three-day event will take place on October 22 to 25 and host around 300 Hotelbeds partners from key source markets in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East.

MarketHub Asia is invitation only, and expected to include senior executives from tour operators, airlines and loyalty and reward points schemes.

Under this year’s theme ‘Shifting Futures’, the event discussion will be focused on how the travel sector should react to current industry changes in areas such as technology, distribution, payments and data.

Hotelbeds has also confirmed that The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Conrad Bali and Hilton Bali Resort will be the events hotel hosts.

Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsorship packages are still available for companies and no official sponsors have been announced yet.

MarketHubs are currently one of the leading travel industry events, with nine previous events in the Americas, five in Europe and one in Asia. The Asia addition first launched two years ago in Bangkok and proved successful, leading for it to continue.

This event follows the American and European MarketHub editions in Cancun and Istanbul that the company held in May. Each has 350 attendees from B2B travel trade buyers.

Carlos Muñoz, Hotelbeds managing director, said: “This year’s MarketHub events are particularly exciting for us as they are the first large scale events as one consolidated company.

“Over the last year we’ve been working hard to create one new and enhanced business to better serve our partners including:  a new and consolidated leadership structure; one single account management and billing point for all partners, including travel buyers and hoteliers; the launch of a Product Management department; and an enhanced IT structure that is now almost completely migrated onto one, new platform.”
