Click Travel founder and chief technology officer dies

Travel management company Click Travel has announced the death of its chief technology officer and one of its founders Simon McLean aged just 41.

The firm said McLean, who passed away on July 29, was “an extraordinary talent, a wonderful colleague and good friend”. It added: “He will be greatly missed.”

McLean founded the award-wining business with his brother James.

Click Travel said he “leaves a tremendous legacy…with a strong board and management team, further strengthened by investment from the BGF”.

Jill Palmer, chief executive, said: “Simon achieved incredible success, and at the same time will be remembered as a very humble individual.

“Everyone who knew him was touched by the warmth of his personality. He will be sadly missed as a colleague and friend.”
