WTM 2022: Traveltek unveils new branding and mission to connect travel seamlessly

Glasgow-based booking tech developer consulted trade partners including Hays Travel, Sandals and Hotelbeds on new identity

Glasgow-based travel technology developer Traveltek unveiled its new branding at World Travel Market in London this week.

The firm, which was founded in 1999, said it wanted to update its brand with a “modern and refreshing look to better reflect the company’s new direction and personality”.

It worked with If Agency, a data-driven independent creative agency based in Manchester on the rebranding project.

Work started in May this year and involved feedback from all areas of the business as well as feedback from their customers and suppliers.

Cressida Sergeant, chief commercial at Traveltek, said: “We are particularly grateful to Jonathon Woodall-Johnston from Hays Travel, Simon Foster from Sandals and Robert Chamberlain from Hotelbeds for their assistance and feedback during this process.

“Their insight into us as a customer and why they do business with Traveltek was invaluable.”

The typography and colours used in the new Traveltek logo were chosen to represent the firm’s ambitions and “engaging nature”, and “seamless integrations and customer service values”.

Traveltek added the branding represents its desire to build relationships and where they are heading to in the future, summed up in a new mission statement:

“We exist to make travel connectivity seamless. Providing travel technology products that promote exploration, enrichment and education”.

Mal Barritt, chief executive, said, “We are delighted to launch our new brand at WTM. In readiness for the launch of new cruise products in 2023, it was important that we underpin that launch with our new branding proposition.”
