WeYield launches Pricing Insights to break the price-matching spiral

Pilot lifts RPD by 6%

WeYield, the Paris-region revenue management specialist for car rental, has launched Pricing Insights, a module co-created with Aircar in Morocco that shifts operators towards demand-led pricing while protecting margins. The company positions the tool as a way to move beyond reactive price-matching and to build pricing strategies on each operator’s own demand signals.

The module automates pricing based on internal performance rather than competitor moves. Built in active partnership with Aircar, a leading independent operator in Morocco with a 2,000-vehicle fleet, Pricing Insights is designed to increase pricing agility and margins. In its pilot phase, Aircar Morocco posted a record Revenue Per Day (RPD) at +6% and a 50% additional price effect over the year-end peak by holding rates while competitors cut theirs, surpassing even its traditional summer highs, according to WeYield.

Pricing Insights is powered by three proprietary signals: Booking Velocity (the pace at which reservations are accelerating), Utilization Ratio (the share of the fleet actively generating revenue at any given moment) and Demand Forecast (based on AI machine learning). It sets a daily pricing architecture, models strategies across car groups and locations from a single centralised dashboard, then executes updated rates automatically. New prices are pushed to internal systems and sales platforms (PMS and CRS), removing manual data entry and reducing errors.

"We have moved past the era of displaying data. Pricing Insights executes strategy with surgical precision, a direct outcome of building alongside Aircar Morocco’s operations team. It is the tool I have been dreaming about since the beginning of my career as Revenue Manager. Since launch, Pricing Insights has been the best pricing assistant I have ever had," said Emmanuel Scuto, Founder & CEO, WeYield.

In a market often driven by matching the cheapest rival, last-minute price drops can trigger a race to the bottom and erode profitability. WeYield argues for a demand-focused approach, where operators follow their own activity indicators and hold or raise rates when fleet pressure justifies it. The aim is to regain control of pricing strategy and avoid the least-cost spiral that weighs on revenue.

Pricing Insights is available immediately to WeYield customers, supported by a team of revenue management experts. Founded in 2012, the company serves an international community of car rental operators from the Paris region. Aircar, the co-creation partner, manages more than 2,000 vehicles across major airports and city centres in Morocco.
